G’day
Raspberries are blowing in the wind and the beans are climbing, sure sign summer is around the corner. However, for most students in this neck of the woods , it’s exam time, so gardening is far from their minds (unless they are into horticulture of course).I’ve been doing a bit of exam supervision at the local University; interesting pastime. Suffice to say for most students its head down and do your best, unfortunately, from time to time, cheating raises its ugly head in ‘innovative’ ways.As a result students aren’t allowed to wear watches of any kind or have any type of electronic device on their person. Some choose to ignore the rules to their detriment..
In the posting this month there are links to open education information and resources, next generation pedagogy, elearning assessment, instructional design, Moocs, the status of various LMS,badging and credentialing, periodic table, digital experience, technology suported learning spaces, conferences and the odd one out.
This will be the last eWatch until February 2017. So an early best wishes for the festive season and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all

Quality Assessment for Elearning: a Benchmarking Approach Third Edition [2016]. The manual is organised into six sections covering Strategic management, Curriculum design, Course design, Course delivery, Staff support and Student support. Each section follows a similar format setting out benchmarks, detailed indicators, and guidance notes. The manual is pretty hefty but as you will have plenty of leisure time over the festive break, you should be able to mange it. Worth perusing.

BlackboardLearn seems to be holding its own and Canvas appears to be gaining ground. Will Google Classroom overtake them all?
