G’Day

Well here we are, the end of the year (well almost). Certainly a year of disruption and challenge. Is 2022 going to be the same ? I hope not. A raft of opportunities now exist to evaluate and analyse how well the use of digital technologies have performed in the learning environment for the betterment of student learning, and what changes that have happened are positive and  going to stay.

NZ is in a bit of a quandary with the introduction of a ‘traffic light’ system to manage and control the movement of people; education doesn’t escape. Vaccine passports, testing, isolating  and conforming are with us until at least April next year! Hopefully someone will apply some common sense and reevaluate how the Covid management can be made simpler, practical and far less draconian.

The garden continues to flourish. Red onions, spring onions, potatoes, peas , tomatoes and  beans all ready for the festive feast, plus a rogue pumpkin which has taken over half of one of the vegetable beds; not mu=y idea of a sleeping companion. The hedges all look pretty trim, all 100 Mtrs of them. Have to start the other end again next week.🍅🏡

The posting this week includes links to Student guide to time management, Online course design, Flexible course design, Constructive alignment, Conferences, Publications and the Odd one out.
