G’day
well the 6th Annual NZ Shar-E-Fest and regional symposia went like a dream. Grainne Conole was an excellent keynote and workshop presenter from way down in dunedin to way up in Whagarei; the feedback was nothing but positive. All in all around 600 people had the opportunity to listen and interact with Grainne and a range of presenters at other venues.Learning Design and Mooc’s were high on the agenda. All of the presenters were quite inspiring and doing lots of great things for their students. It was interesting to note the rise and rise of the iPad as a very flexible tool to enhance the learning experience for the students at all levels of the education system. I don’t understand why some people have a blind spot when it comes to the value of tablet like devices in the student learning environment. Maybe they should borrow our guide dog puppy to help them see the benefits:-) Now it’s onto planning for next year and creating some presentations. My latest is ‘Herd of Mooc’s ? followed by ” If MOOC’s are the answer, what was the Question?”

7.The Digital Library of America. Millions of links to an ever increasing range of resources. You can search for something you know about or use the timeline of map to identify what’s available. I used the map to locate some information on New Zealand. Click on the orange dots. You could spend ages here finding useful resources.
